Many of us are more than familiar with Coldplay’s piano-driven, catchy melodies. While the popular band continues to electrify audiences worldwide on their Music of the Spheres tour, Candlelight is giving fans the opportunity to experience their music under a new light. Enter a welcoming environment at the First Unitarian Church, surrounded by hundreds of flickering candles, and prepare to be captivated by a one-of-a-kind Coldplay Candlelight concert.
A talented and classicall-trained string quartet will perform awe-inspiring renditions of “Paradise”, “Speed of Sound”, and many more fan favorites during a 65-minute concert inspired by Coldplay’s blend of electronica, pop, progressive rock, and so much more.
Candlelight: A Tribute to Coldplay
Since forming in 1997, Coldplay have gone through a number of significant phases when it comes to their sound. From the alternative rock moodiness of songs like “Yellow” to the EDM pop tones of “Something Just Like This”, the band continues to influence contemporary artists and push boundaries. Considered “one of the most influential and pioneering acts in the world”, Coldplay has collaborated with Rihanna, Kylie Minogue, BTS, and more.
And this September, Coldplay’s famous songs are being performed on strings by the Kennedy String Quartet. “A Sky Full of Stars”, “Trouble”, “Fix You”, and may more are set to be performed on the enchanting evening. Immerse yourself in some magic and music while sitting inside the First Unitarian Church’s distinctive domed building.
After having enormous success around the world—in cities like London, Manchester, Madrid, Barcelona, and Paris—Candlelight brings its unique experience to Baltimore to pay tribute to one of the most popular and influential bands in the world.
What’s more, with two back-to-back performances taking place on September 29, at 7:00pm and 9:00pm, you can choose a Coldplay Candlelight concert that suits your schedule.
Note: For the safety of our audience, all of the candlelight will be provided through flameless candles.
